Protesters threw stones at the actor’s house, opened banners and staged a protest demonstration. They also shouted slogans against the actor and held him responsible for the death of a woman in a stampede at Sandhya theater during the first screening of the movie Pushpa 2.

According to the news agency, six protesters, reportedly members of Osmania University Joint Action Committee (JAC), were detained YEARS reported. CM Reddy condemns attack, orders action against accused

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy condemned the stone-throwing incident at the actor’s house and ordered the state DGP and city police commissioner to take strict action against the protesters.

“I condemn the attack on the homes of movie stars. I order the state DGP and the city police commissioner to take strict action on law and order. No laxity will be tolerated in this regard. “Senior officials should take precautions to ensure that police personnel not involved in the Sandhya Theater incident do not intervene,” he said.

BJP condemns attack, slams law and order situation

Union minister and BJP leader G Kishan Reddy condemned the stone-throwing incident at the actor’s residence and said the incident highlighted the failure of law and order under the Congress government in Telangana.

A woman lost her life in a tragic incident that took place during the screening of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad on December 4. Chaos ensued as huge crowds gathered to see the film’s star Allu Arjun, who attended the event along with music director Devi Sri Prasad. In the chaos that followed, the main gate of the theater collapsed and a stampede occurred. While the 35-year-old woman lost her life, her 9-year-old son was seriously injured.

However, the deceased woman’s husband stated that he wanted to withdraw the case. In the statement, he shared that he did not hold Allu Arjun responsible for the stampede that claimed his wife’s life. “I am ready to withdraw the case. I was not aware of the arrest and Allu Arjun has nothing to do with the stampede in which my wife died,” he said.

Allu Arjun Arrested, Taken into Judicial Custody, Then Released on Bail

The actor was arrested by the local court in connection with the stampede case on December 13 and was given judicial custody for 14 days, but was later released on interim bail by the Telangana High Court on the same day. He was released from prison on December 14.

The actor was arrested under Sections 105 and 118(1) of the BNS Act. He was charged with criminal negligence and voluntarily causing harm.

The court had ruled that there was no malicious act on the part of the Tollywood actor in the ongoing case. The court significantly relieved the player by deciding to release him on four-week temporary bail. The court also fixed a personal bail bond of Rs 50,000.

Turmoil in the Parliament

Uropar’s stance against the Pushpa actor escalated after Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy alleged that he had visited the theater during the screening of the film despite being denied police permission, a charge Allu Arjun denied.

Reddy also said that the film star did not leave the cinema hall even after the woman died in the stampede and the police forced him out. Reddy also criticized Allu Arjun for holding a road show and waving to the crowd along with his co-actress Rashmika Mandanna despite the overwhelming number of people risking a stampede. He said that the theater management had issued a letter to the police on December 2 to provide security for the visit of top actors and others on the ill-fated day.

Responding to allegations, Allu Arjun says he had no idea about the stampede incident and only became aware of it the next morning when a lawsuit was filed against him for not being able to visit the family. He also expressed his condolences to the victim’s family over the “unfortunate incident”.

The film star termed the allegations made by CM Revanth Reddy and Telangana MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi as “misinformation” and claimed that the allegations amounted to a “character assassination” against him.
