IPL 2022 Eliminator: LSG vs RCB

The day clearly belongs Rajat Patidar (112* from 54 balls) was in superb form with the ball coming off his bat making the sweet sound of a perfect touch. The drives, moves and spinning sixes were a joy to watch. On a day that batsmen love Virat Kohli (25 balls out of 24) and Dinesh Karthik (37* from 23 balls) Patidar’s batting becomes more impressive as he struggles with timing.

RCB plundered 85 off the last 30 balls to post a mammoth total of 207/4. The LSG field also could not reach the desired level with a few catching errors; one was Dinesh Karthik, whom the captain failed to keep at mid-wicket, and the other was Patidar’s catch at mid-wicket when he was 79.

For Lucknow Super Giants, KL Rahul (79 off 58 balls) put up a good fight with the support of Deepak Hooda (45 off 26 balls) but none of the other LSG batsmen could match the scoring rate.

In the end, Josh Hazelwood’s (3 weeks for 45 runs) bowling proved to be the heartbreaker for Lucknow.
