‘Shogun’ Actor’s Health Issues Explained

FX’s highly anticipated limited series Shogun on tons of Golden Globes on Sunday night.

But for some fans, the joy of discovering the new series of the epic was spoiled by reports of the illness of actor Cosmo Jarvis.

Questions about Jarvis’ health have been circulating on social media, but as often happens on Twitter/X and elsewhere, the truth of the situation has been obscured by a lot of misinformation.

Jarvis has Type 1 diabetes, and he has been very candid on the topic of his health, admitting that he has experienced periods of anxiety and depression as a result of his condition.

Jarvis went on to say that his health problems have forced him to rethink his relationship with technology.

“It screws with my philosophy, because I pretty much hate technology and everything that involves it, but then I rely on the extent of some survivors,” he explained.

“I fully accept that if it weren’t for technology, diabetics and anyone with the disease would be the first people to die,” added Jarvis.
