Crystal Palace 1-5 Arsenal: Gabriel Jesus scores twice as Gunners storm to victory at Selhurst Park to move within three points of league leaders Liverpool

Gabriel Jesus continued his return to form by scoring twice as Arsenal moved to within three points of Liverpool with a commanding 5-1 win at Crystal Palace.

Jesus scored a hat-trick in the midweek Carabao Cup win over Palace, scoring a close-range shot on goal six minutes from time to give Arsenal the lead.

But Palace hit back at Ismaila Sarr as he ran towards William Saliba before he could find the bottom corner. But Palace were back on par for just three minutes as they failed to clear the corner and Jesus scored the second goal in the 14th minute.

Shortly after, Bukayo Saka was injured but that did not stop Arsenal. İsa almost scored a hat-trick in the first half, but seven minutes before halftime, his header hit the post and Kai Havertz gave Arsenal some breathing room by sending the ball into the goal.

Any hopes of a comeback were extinguished when Gabriel Martinelli found himself in the right place at the right time before Declan Rice rounded off the points with a superb finish from the edge of the penalty area.
