Jamie Foxx reveals scary details behind his mysterious 2023 medical crisis – National

Jamie Foxx has finally revealed the cause Mysterious medical crisis which left him treated in the hospital last year.

In his new standup comedy special, Jamie Foxx: What Happenedactor and comedian then it scares his health caused by a brain bleed which causes a stroke.

In the special, which debuted on Netflix Tuesday, he described a “touch and go” period for him, sharing that his “vitals were out of control” for weeks after the stroke and that doctors struggled to stabilize him.

He said he had a bad headache one day and asked for aspirin but before he could take it, he “passed (black). I don’t remember 20 days.

He told the audience that he was working in Atlanta when he got sick, and was initially sent home by medics after they gave him a cortisone injection. However, she was still not feeling well when her sister arrived shortly after and she was taken to Piedmont Hospital.

Once there, he said the doctor revealed to his brother that he had suffered a brain bleed that had caused a stroke, adding: “If I don’t get into his head now, we’ll lose him.”

He also said that he remembers some things about unconsciousness: “Your life doesn’t light up before you. It’s kind of oddly peaceful. I saw the tunnel. I didn’t see the light. I was in that tunnel, though. It was hot in that tunnel.”

He then snapped: “S–t, am I going to the wrong place?”

He said when he woke up on May 4, 2023, he was in a wheelchair but didn’t remember how he got there. He said he was initially in denial: “Jamie Foxx didn’t get a stroke,” he joked.

Doctors told him he could make a full recovery, but it was likely to be “the worst year of his life.”

Foxx broke down in tears as she told the audience she was “back”, adding: “You have no idea how this feels.” He said the cause of brain hemorrhage is still a mystery.

Until the comedy special, Foxx’s family is keeping details about the medical emergency, which sparked worry and speculation last year.

In mid-April 2023, Foxx’s adult daughter, Corrine, announced that her father had “experienced medical complications.” He said that “due to quick action and good care” he is on the way to recovery, however never revealed the nature of what happened to him.

A month later, she shared that her father had been “out of the hospital for a few weeks” and was “recovering.”

At the time of his hospitalization, he was filming a movie in Atlanta Back in Action with Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close.
