Chicago resident slams mayor, calls out illegal immigration ‘Ponzi scheme’

As the new administration of President-elect Donald Trump prepares to take harsh measures against this situation illegal immigration, Chicago residents are reeling under the weight of the Windy City’s immigration crisis.

A resident targeted Mayor Brandon Johnson over the city’s illegal immigration “Ponzi scheme.”

“(Johnson) should be convicted of treason. We’re dealing with a democratic socialist mayor, and he’s bringing an agenda to Chicago that isn’t going to work. And it’s an illegal immigration agenda that’s out of control. Since last year,” said Zoe Leigh, who lives in Chicago. “Evening Arrangement” Friday.

“We’re $1.2 billion short because of this illegal immigration scam. I call it a Ponzi scheme.”

Along with other blue sanctuary cities like New York City and Denver, Chicago flooded with immigrants in recent years.

Fox News data showed the Windy City spent $574.5 million on immigrants, joining other Blue strongholds like New York City, Boston and Denver that spend large amounts of money.

Mayor Johnson, who has vowed to resist President-elect Trump’s deportation of illegal immigrants, is also trying to overcome an obstacle. $1 billion budget deficit by the end of the year.

“It got out of control,” Leigh said. “Chicago pushed back very quickly, especially on the south and west sides of Chicago, because of the money stolen from immigration fraud. They thought they could settle illegal immigrants in our communities, and they thought they could settle illegal immigrants in our communities, and we were going to allow it.”

“They’re everywhere now because they don’t have the money to cover it or ignore it in Chicago.”

Trump’s border czar is coming Tom Homan, He has been a staunch defender of the administration’s immigration policies. The former acting ICE director even sent a warning to Chicago, which Homan claimed would be one of the first cities to see deportations.

“Chicago is in trouble because your mayor sucks, your governor sucks. And we’re going to start here in Chicago, Illinois,” Homan said during an event Thursday.

“Now, if your mayor of Chicago doesn’t want to help, he can step aside. But if he hinders us, if he knowingly harbors or conceals an illegal alien, I will prosecute him,” he threatened.
